The concept of incorporating environmentally responsible design principles (what has come to be known as “green building”) has been at the heart of the East Edge development since its inception. Modern architecture merged with this concept quite affectively.  We planned building orientations to maximize passive solar gain, to create more privacy for outdoor decks and patios and to optimize site lines for the best views.  As much as possible we selected materials for the based on sustainability (our siding carries a 50 year manufacturer’s warranty) recycled or recyclable content (our upper level decks are made with recycled materials), rapidly renewable resources (optional bamboo flooring), low toxicity levels and minimum heat gain. Our homes are built to last with minimum impact on the environment.. Every home comes with a 10-year property tax abatement.
